Pneumatic actuators

In pneumatic actuators, the compressed air controls the opening and closing of the actuator.

In double-acting actuators, the compressed air both opens and closes the valve. In single-acting models the operation can be arranged so that the compressed air both opens and closes the valve, and a spring integrated in the actuator performs an opposite motion in the case of air pressure loss.

The advantage of the pneumatic actuator is its fast operation and vibration resistance capability, for example, compared to electrical actuators.

Applicable both for rotary- or linear-moving valves

Pneumatic actuators are divided into rotary-moving actuators that can be applied for ball valves, butterfly valves and plug valves, as well as into linear-moving actuators that, in turn, can be applied for seat valves and gate valves.

Our stock models include rotary-moving GT and RC single- and double-acting pneumatic actuators. If desired, we can also supply our valves with actuators of other brands.

In ARI seat valves, we use our factory’s own linear-moving DP actuators.

Pneumatic actuators can be equipped with different limit packages as well as with an electrified control system for the compressed air.
