Actuators

The most typical actuator for swivel-operating butterfly valves is a pneumatic or electrical actuator.

Pneumatic actuators are especially recommended for small size classes. This is either a double-acting actuator when the pressurised air both opens and closes the valve, or a single-acting (so-called spring-return) actuator when, after the pressure has disappeared, the closing spring of the actuator either opens or closes the valve.

With butterfly valves, all swivel-operating electrical actuators available in the market can be used.

For all actuator options, limit and position data is available, and, in addition, the actuators can be connected into a bus.
